NATALIE'S JOURNEY IN A NUTSHELL
I have been a Spicer for about 2 years now. I attend Kim’s Parramatta sessions 3 times a week in my lunch break with my work colleagues. I joined Kim’s class to improve my fitness level, gain more energy and to get out of my office at lunchtime. We have 6 people in our fitness group and we are all at different fitness levels. Kim caters to each one of us; she does not give a blanket approach to her training.
Kim provides a fun and relaxed environment whilst still making sure we improve our fitness levels week to week. She provides very useful health and eating advice on top in our training sessions as well.
I have noticed a dramatic change in my body since attending Kim’s classes. Before attending Spice it up PT I used to get told that I look tired all the time and hardly had any energy. This is now a thing of the past and I can see my body starting to get a nice tone.
I recommend Spice it up PT to anyone out there that wants to get their health back on track, enjoys the outdoors and a bit of fun.

NIAMH'S JOURNEY IN A NUT SHELL:
I knew that I needed to make positive changes in my 20’s for later in life. I ate crap food and didn’t work out and it was starting to show. But I needed help. A friend introduced me to Kim and we clicked. Her committed style suited me. It certainly wasn’t easy; but she was always there for early mornings workouts and she educated me on my eating habits with her food diary.
I think what frightened me the most was the ferociousness I started to want it and how easy it became. I stopped wanting the crap food. My body ached for a good workout. We became a team and now I can’t imagine not being a “Spicer”.

SHANNON'S JOURNEY IN A NUT SHELL
I’ve been training with Kim Williamson at Spice it up PT for 3 years. I have stayed with Kim because she is constantly adapting and ensuring that the training, which I am doing, is helping me to achieve my goals. I’m excited for each training session to see what program Kim has designed – with a great variety and fun enjoyment of the different routines and exercises.
When I first started training with Kim, I had used hotel gyms, but always felt somewhat overwhelmed by a gym environment – not knowing what to do and how to do it. During my program, Kim demonstrates each new exercise to me before my attempts – ensuring that I have correct and injury free form. With the large variety of exercises that I’ve been doing, I’ve found the confidence on how to structure and work within a gym environment.
Initially I started with Kim hoping to lose weight and tone up my body. I had a stressful job, and exercising had become a second priority. I was running occasionally, but had paid little attention to my diet or functional fitness. Over the course of three months, I achieved my initial goal – and with the newfound confidence, was able to set new goals by building functional muscle strength. I review my goals with Kim every three months – keeping me focused on achieving results, but also taking into consideration appropriate goals for my lifestyle.
I currently train 3 times per week with Kim with my current goal of increasing my muscle mass. The training is hard and challenging, but worthwhile with good results being seen.

KAREN'S JOURNEY IN A NUT SHELL
I am a 51 year old female – who loves the finer things in life (food, wine, etc.) and who probably, if I were to be brutally honest, needs to lose around 5 kilos – maybe 7. I was originally referred to Kim when my original trainer left me – literally. (in all fairness she moved interstate). I had a few proviso’s around choosing a trainer – the most important being that I needed to train outside so that my dog could come training with me, the other was they needed to like dogs. Also they needed to be down to earth, natural and have some semblance of a sense of humour – definitely no muscle bound fist pumping BS speaking young bucks for me…. Nothing personal…
Kim fitted the bill perfectly and has stuck by me now for about 3 years…. We got some great results when I was in the right headspace, then I went off the rails slightly. The main question should be, not why I’ve stuck with Kim, but why she’s stuck with me! She tolerates my demotivation and doesn’t lecture me – she knows that I know what I need to do and she knows that I’ll eventually get there in my own good time. She is a fountain of knowledge, especially around food and nutrition, but also in general knowledge terms – you can have an interesting conversation whilst exercising. I love that!
Kim has somehow got me to box, squat, lunge and lift weights – things I never imagined I’d do…
We have achieved some surprising results together and I know that when I fix my headspace and carry on – we will do it again. In the meantime I will continue to turn up, do the work and truly recommend Kim to anyone contemplating taking on a personal trainer… You’ll get more than what you bargained for…. In a good way!
SPICER SINCE: September 2012
STARTING GOAL: To reduce body fat and improve my health
CURRENT GOAL: Continue to increase strength, and to be happy and healthy
Kim is a passionate, caring personal trainer who can offer great advice on nutrition and how to understand your body.
I was unhappy and unfit, and struggling with exercise, then I met Kim and for the first time someone really studied and made an effort to understand my strengths and my weaknesses, and how my body responded to exercise.
Kim pushes you when you need to be pushed, and more than anything; she cares about her clients and makes great effort to support them in every way.
I would recommend Kim to anyone who wished to make a positive change in themselves, as her training improved my physical health, which improved my mental health as well. I am extremely grateful to have met Kim when I did, and to have become a “Spicer”.

VESNA'S JOURNEY IN A NUT SHELL:
The best birthday present ever. That’s what Spice it up PT is. I wasn’t sure before I started. I actually thought I would die. But I didn’t, and after my 3 ‘gift’ sessions were up, there was no question in my mind. This had to continue. You see, I don’t want to look like a body builder. I don’t want huge muscles. I am not a gym junkie and I never will be. But I do want to be fit and healthy, and in my ‘normal’ weight range. And, I do want to walk 600km across Spain, on the Camino de Santiago in 2017.
What I have found with Kim at Spice it up PT is a program that suits me perfectly. Kim has listened to what I’ve said, and tailored everything to build a plan in which I can succeed (at my pace, not someone else’s ideal pace). We started with my diet. Kim suggested simple changes – not a prescriptive diet, but nutritional principles to follow. With that, I’ve lost weight over 5 months, and feel much much better about myself.
Then on to the fitness and strength. I love the training sessions at Kim’s gym. Just me. No looks or judgments from other gym junkies. Just me, working at my pace, with Kim pushing me on enough to drive improvement. Kim has given me ‘homework’ – exercise I can easily do at home, because she understands that, if I am told to join a gym and go there to use their equipment, it simply will not happen.
I see the positive changes in my overall health. Less migraines, stronger core strength resulting in almost minimal back pain issues, and more energy with which to bounce through life. Spice it up PT is the best investment I have made in ‘me’ in quite some time. The best birthday present ever.

ELAYNE'S JOURNEY IN A NUTSHELL
I have been training with Kim now for 10 weeks and am being constantly challenged to improve my strength and fitness. When I started my PT sessions I was very hesitant but my confidence and ability have grown immensely and now I am doing things that I would not dared to have tried 10 weeks ago.
Sessions with Kim are always great fun both inside and outside the gym. She tailors every session to build on strength, core body strength and balance. I enjoy every session and look forward to the next.
I cannot speak too highly of her and thank her for all that she has done for me. She is very committed and professional.
An inspirational Trainer!

CAROLYN'S JOURNEY IN A NUTSHELL
I have a busy job and so does my husband. We had often said to each other that we wanted to get fitter and healthier but lacked the time and motivation. I had used a Personal trainer in the past but found that I didn’t like the approach. Their approach was focused primarily on weight loss and completing goals like running a marathon. I was more focused on body conditioning, balance and core fitness.
I knew Spice it up PT would be the right fit after speaking to Kim. In our first consultation she ran through some exercises that focused on a full body workout in a safe and controlled manner. Kim has an encouraging but relaxed manner. She coaches you on nutrition as well your general fitness. After a few sessions I know that she would be a great trainer for my husband as well. I’ve continued training once a week. My husband enjoys it so much he has two sessions a week.
We’ve both had great results improving strength, fitness, balance and core stability. This has given us both more energy. While we could just go to a gym, I know from previous experience that it is hard to keep up for me and I get a lot more out of our session that I do spending time at the gym. I’ve been seeing Kim for about a year now and I would recommend Kim to anyone looking for a great personal trainer.
